Wednesday 6 May 2015

Some heavy rain in the form of persistent showers in Wales today.  As a result the upper river, the Ithon and Irfon are all rising.- the Ithon with considerable colour as always.   Looks as though there will be a half decent spate which should bring the upper river into play at last. Probably be no fishing for a couple of days though.

Three fish from yesterday.
7lbs from Caradoc. Jerry Lewis. f?c
9lbs from Courtfield for Rudi Lighert. Spinning.
9lbs for John Daniels, Ross AC  F/C

CLA Game Fair decision

The S&TA’s Trustees and Executive Committee have just issued this statement: “Reluctantly, we have decided not to have an Association presence at the Game Fair this year. Costs of running the S&TA tent have steadily grown over the years, alongside our expanding programme of campaigns and projects that all have the well-being of our precious waterways and fish stocks at their heart. We’re sure that our members would much prefer to have their subscriptions and donations directly supporting these causes, and it is this belief that has led us to this decision. Of course, we shall monitor this carefully and will be happy to reconsider this in the future if the S&TA membership feels that our presence at the Game Fair adds real value to the Association.”
