Two fish from cadora Backs for mauirice Hudson. spinng with black F/C  8 and 10lns sea liced.
14lbs and 8lbs from Wyesham.  One on fly one on mepps.  Prime month now -should be their time alright.

I have been asked to highlight the possible demise of one of our famous chalkstreams, The Lambourn.   Some of us may never get to fish it but its pristine environment is being threatened by a plan to dump secondary treated sewage into it , seemingly without consultation.

As I say you may never fish it but it takes just a couple of minutes to sign the petition and help those trying to prevent this discharge.  Please see below.

Error in Natural England Cormorant Licensing Forms

Some incorrect licencing return forms for piscivorous birds (cormorants & goosander) were sent out in error from Natural England (NE), prior to the new & correct return forms being released. If anyone has received an older form they need to disregard it and send in the new form only. The new form should have been accompanied by a covering letter from NE to explain the error and to guide licence holders accordingly.

Department of Energy and Climate Change Ask The Wrong Question on Tidal Lagoon

Fish Legal has responded to a last-minute request by Department of Energy and Climate Change for arguments on how far to permit 'deterioration' in 'waterbody status' likely to be caused by the proposed Swansea tidal lagoon, the decision to grant consent for which is imminent.
Despite an apparent determination to focus only on impacts to the habitat of some tiny mud-dwelling invertebrates (...worms!), Fish Legal argued that more attention should be paid to the serious risk to salmon and sea trout and how to mitigate that.
Members interested in learning about the development of a series of tidal lagoons in the Severn Estuary can attend a meeting organised by Angling Trust and Fish Legal next weekend. Details below...
