Lot of heavy rain in the upper catchment now and last night.  Another dose reported later on this evening and overnight.  Perhaps it may provoke a few more spawners upstream but lets hope it doesn't wash any redds out.
Not been that many reports of a huge amounts of spawners but obviously some redds here and there.

I see Charlie H is banging on again on FFF.  I say again the reason we have been banned from trying to question WUF on those forums is I suspect complaints or threats from WUF.   One of our members as you know has already been threatened with legal action and forced to pay compensation -or else. All I did on the Sea trout forum was question an ex WUF employee on the misinformation he was putting about on there.  Strange world isn't it where  those with a little perceived power and money can seek to silence those who try and get to the truth.  Well we don't go away just because someone doesn't like it.
I see Charlie hasn't taken up the chance to reply to the two email addresses I gave him.  Not really surprised. He's making enough of a fool of himself as it is elsewhere.

LATEST.

River and tributaries are all on the rise and we look set for a decent spate. We do of course need the Elan valley dams to be topped up to release water for us next season under the new compensation plan - which by the way we have still not seen in any detail.  Will we ever I wonder.  Or of course the full Electro fishing data or anything much else for that matter.

You do often come across some interesting information on internet forums.
The below was posted by WUFs ex Marketting manager, Dai.  Bet you didn't know this;

Quote,
"Otters don't eat many migratory fish, only around spawning time. You'll find the odd one on the bank pre or post spawning. It's happened for thousands of years. Found one myself last week in the Lower Wye, eggs and everything. You don't often see otter kills any other time during the season though do you?"

Thought not.!!!!!!!!
