Last nights downpour arrived all right and the river is in full spate this morning as are most of the tributaries.  Very High on the Elan, Upper river and the Ithon especially.  River seems to have peaked in these areas as far as Erwood but will continue to rise throughout the middle and lower river today and tomorrow.

As for damage to the redds -who knows yet.  Its always happened of course but there used to be so many that a good  pecentage were sure to survive.  Not sure we can afford to lose any these days but may be there will be further fish to spawn as this spate drops off.
