No further reports so far today.  Only a couple of inches rise at Hay on Wye following yesterdays rain.   Some more forecast but looks like its not going to be enough for some.

Thought some of you might find this paragraph from some recent  correspondence of interest;

"It will be interesting at Tuesday's LFG to see if anyone from NRW can clarify exactly what evidence (withheld from ourselves) Peter Gough had put before the Board that set Lynda Warren on her way to browbeating the others into towing the party line and endorsing the decision.
I've also got to say that when Harry Legge-Bourke is happy to endorse the decision to close hatcheries and end third party stocking, yet is happy to fish the Ranga in Iceland where fish are almost exclusively hatchery reared, it more than smacks of double standards."

Peter Gough, together with John Taylor's expertise at the hatchery was responsible in a major way for the regeneration of the Taff salmon by the stocking of parr and smolts.  He has the evidence that backs this up.  He should have been able to take credit for that at least.
Instead he has toed the three line whip and it seems been forced to deny his own success. That must be a bitter pill to swallow but swallow it you must I suppose if you wish to keep your job.
As for Harry Legg Burke !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Ditto.
As for Linda Warren I wonder just what her qualifications are. Thought she was into nuclear waste management - not really similar is it.!
