Re the canoe stuation.  Mark Lloyd AT and the Rev Caffyn himself were on the One Show last night,  (BBC i player aabout 13 minutes in)   Pretty trivial stuff really and not a good explanation of the facts.  Mark Lloyd seemed to be suggesting that canoes could have access for six months of the year - outside the game fishing season but then mention danger to spawning fish. Somewhat confused I thought. See it for yourself.


Out of interest saw the below today on one of the forums where anglers on the Ribble were complaining about the EAs attitude towards them and the rivers problem.  One suggested getting rid of the EA and forming a body to run their river -he received this as part of a reply;


"Finally, let's work with the powers that be to help them act responsibly towards us, and improve their accountability (we pay their wages after all). IMHO you must be careful what you wish for if you want a new structure to be implemented - just look a the disaster that has befallen the Wye!"
