Similar conditions again today, similar result probably.  Fish very early or very late seems the only realistic option.
One of the unreported fish from Bigswier was a 9 1/2lb fresh fish taken from the tail of Llandogo by Peter Rippin on a 2" green Snaelda last Friday.. Several others were showing. River still coloured at that stage.

Early bird did catch the worm.  Regular rod Andy Fenner seen below with a fish estimated at 30lbs taken this morning from Cadora on the flying C.  Nice one Andy.

Mike Heylin Awarded with OBE for Services to Angling

Mike Heylin has been awarded the OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to angling over many decades and in particular for his role as Chairman of the Angling Trust for the first five years of its existence as the new unified representative and national governing body for all anglers in England.

New Online List Identifies Anglers Who Didn't Buy Rod Licences

The Angling Trust and Environment Agency are urging anglers to renew their rod licence or risk appearing on a new list identifying people who have been caught fishing illegally published on the Angling Trust's website at www.anglingtrust.net/prosecutions

Bexhill Angling Festival - Update

After the successful establishment of the Bexhill Sea Angling Festival since 2012 the event has now expanded to incorporate more competitions over a longer time period. For the first two years the competitions were held across ten days in September - in 2014 the whole of September will be devoted to angling competitions and events.

Update: Success in Environment Agency and Angling Trust Voluntary Bailiff Service Close Season Patrols

Over the entire close season, Environment Agency Fisheries Enforcement Officers carried out 673 patrols, detecting 124 close season offences. In the South East, Angling Trust volunteers are working in partnership with the Environment Agency on Operation CLAMP DOWN 2 to identify hotspots where illegal fishing is regularly taking place. During the close season, volunteers made 365 patrols and reported 15 incidents to the Environment Agency. Those reported risk a court appearance and a fine of up to £50,000 if convicted.

Angling Trust Criticises Government Committee for Muddying the Waters in Flooding Debate

The Angling Trust has criticised a press release issued yesterday by the Environment Food and Rural Affairs (EFRA) Select Committee for failing to represent accurately the contents of its report on last winter’s floods. The EFRA press release and headlines today highlighted the need for more environmentally-damaging dredging of rivers and streams.

Angling Trust Fisheries Enforcement Research in Poland

Between 10th and 12th June, Angling Trust Building Bridges Project Manager Rado Papiewski and Fisheries Enforcement Manager Dilip Sarkar MBE visited Koszalin in north-western Poland. Earlier in the year Rado and Dilip had identified the need to clarify the situation in Poland regarding angling law and enforcement in order to better understand the problems with Eastern European migrants and fisheries in England. The findings of the trip were eye opening and will help shape Angling Trust policy and practice on this issue in future. A full report will be avaialable soon.

Rivers and Wetlands Community Days

The Angling Trust is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with the Environment Agency and the Wild Trout Trust in the Thames Region which aims to deliver £100k worth of habitat improvements to rivers and wetlands. Local Angling Clubs have until July 25th to apply for grants of up to £5,000. You don't need a trout stream to qualify - just a good plan and a bunch of willing volunteers!
