Don Macer Wright report a 4lb grilse caught -last THURSDAY at Wyebank and not today as reported by WUF.


Otherwise river seems to have switched off almost completely with seemingly very few fish coming into the lower river and those upstream now going doggo under the bright warm conditions..


The canoe misery goes on for everyone, well almost.  This was the scene that greeted an early morning angler on the Moccas beats. Youths camping overnight with rods out on both side of the river,.  No doubt they left behind the usual rubbish, litter, and defecated in various places.  What a great time they had!!
No licences no doubt, no bailiffs any more even if you took the trouble of reporting it.  No one wants to grasp the nettle and its now just a disgraceful free for all.  The ERA/NRW have  virtually abandoned it's enforcement duties and as in many other areas remains completely unfit for purpose.
