Conditions better and clearing this morning and looking pretty good in many upper river areas,.
Still no reports of fish or even one being seen.
With good weather for at least 7 days the week or so ahead could be a defining period for the upper river.
Without some form of stock from the spring run then in a year of 'normal' weather (if there is such a thing) the upper beats could be seriously scratching around for fish for most of the season. Time will tell of course.
Hope to report a fish by the end of the day however.
LATEST.
Still nothing to report I'm afraid. A ring around the contacts show that apart from a kelt here and there around Ross no one seems to have seen a fish. Plenty of coarse anglers out in many areas who are seeing the odd kelt too but catching very little themselves. Odd barbel showing up but on the whole coarse fishing seems to have been pretty dreadful after all the flooding. One guy has spent the last week coarse fishing around Ross and caught absolutely zilch. Same applies to the Moccas area too it seems where sport is extremely slow..

It's best you make your views known even though it may be a foregone conclusion.
