Saw this from Simon at WUF.  Rather strange. Wonder why he never thought to ask the previous Gillie Colin  Gittins who lives near by and fished it for over a decade?

Wasn't this the same beat an angler complained about the state of it and was promptly banned from fishing there again for daring to complain. Seems it still needs attention. Completely illogical.

Goodrich Court 3rd March, can't wait. River just needs to drop 5ft! Will be out when it gets down to 3ft with the saw to continue the project.

After speaking to someone who used to fish the water in the 70's finally have the pool names on the upper section right.

The top pool is the cottage, that runs into the V, before the Rocks, Dog Hole, Gabions, Upper and Lower Lines, Windmill etc. The bit we were calling the Island is in fact the famous Dog hole...explains why is was producing so many fish..

We even have someone on the same thread predicting with apparent certainty the weather forecast for March 3rd. opening day.   Obviously doesn't work for the Met Office.
