A FISH.
There is a reliable report of a salmon being caught on the Wye below Hereford on the 24th. 10lbs or so.
I think for various reasons the angler wants no publicity at this time and has reasons why he did not know of the recent ban. I will add I do not know the name of this persons at present.
Well WUF did relent in the end and came into line with most other clubs and associations and stopped fishing on their beats. Some anglers did fish yesterday and no doubt some still will but no fish have been reported or seen as far as I know..
River is now in great condition on most middle and upper beats and with fine weather we could have expected a fish or two. However its best and sensible to follow Government guidelines until such time as things improve and the situation returns to normal.

Fishing Passport COVID-19 Update
Following yesterday evening's clarity from the Government on what constitutes non-essential travel, we are closing the Passport to bookings with immediate effect. Full refunds will be available to anybody who has made a booking while the current restrictions are in place.
We will review the situation when the latest rules on movement change.
In the meantime, thank you for your support and we hope that you stay safe.
