River still dropping away and with a dry week in prospect conditions will be poor on the upper river I suspect with no new running fish and the odd one from the deep fast gutter from Builth to Glasbury.
Lower beats may far a little better if some grilse appear perhaps.
Seems from reports yesterday that there are very few fish in the lower beats with just a single fish from Bigswier to Tim Bevan spinning with a gold Sutherland Special spinner. 13lbs and fresh.
That gives 16 to Bigswier for the whole season. That's scary to say the least. There can no longer be any doubt we are in a real crisis. Does anyone have the answer I wonder -not with the present management that's for sure.
Any suggestions on a postage stamp!!.
LATEST 12lb fish from the Rectory this morning to Andrew Beattie
Whitney Beat 3 15lb Stuart Smith.
Wyesham 6lb fresh fish to Terry Ward
Whatever next. As someone once said' YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS" Good luck with that one.
