Although the weather forecast flattered to deceive somewhat with not that much local rain there is a couple of feet on at Rhayader at the moment and the river will no doubt rise somewhat during the day though perhaps not until tomorrow on lowest beats.
Algae was still present yesterday  on lower beats but hopefully some fresh water may help the situation and also give any fish to come better access to the river above Monmouth.

Freshet may already have perked a couple of fish up with a big day yesterday with two fish.
Some colour starting to creep  in now too and looks like the rise will be more significant than appeared earlier.
