Few fish from recent days.  Still not a great deal from the upper river with levels falling away again
quite quickly.

Fished Clywedog yesterday. Difficult condition, unbroken sun and good wind, usually the kiss of death  .  Reservoir is well down.  Hoped to fish the dries but apart from one of the seven I caught, all came to a small nymph.  Most impressive part of the day was the sized of the trout around the boat pontoons.  Real specimens and one or two would  closely  rival the weight of any of the salmon caught below.

Spreadeagle: A 7 lb cock fish reported yesterday for Tim Jessop, on Cascade.

Thursday 


Wyesham: 13lbs for Mike Townsend

Wednesday 

                    6lb fish from Sheepwash to Jerry Odie
                    12lb  fish from Golden Mile for Bob Mason


Nyth: 9lbs Salmon caught on Yellow Francis Cafn Stream. River height 1’8” falling and clear. No fish showing


Glanwye: 10lbs from the Wicket Gate for Tim Main

Wyesham: 7,7,8,12lbs for Richard Thomas; 8lbs for Peter Godsall and 12lbs for Joe Cobley. Very few fish seen.
