Below is the link to the letter sent to NRW   mentioned yesterday.

My attention was drawn to this yesterday .  Interesting!!
Have WUF suspended salmon fishing or just advised not too?

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all our members and guests for there continued support during this unexpected second river closure.
After our announcement, many other fisheries all across the country have taken notice and followed suit. After all the welfare of the fish must come first.
However I must say I am very concerned that the Wye & Usk Foundation, are still selling tickets and offering no refunds to those that booked in advance and not wishing to fish.
I understand they have suspended Salmon fishing but in my book all river fish deserve the same courtesy and so should all be treated the same.
I appreciate fisheries need to make money, but cannot believe money can be put before the welfare of fish.
I urge any angler to please think twice before taking out any further tickets, Low water, High temperatures, and very little oxygen can kill fish, without the added stress of being caught.
It is also a difficult time for tackle shops that rely on your business to survive, so to follow Dave Roberts request please consider taking this opportunity to up grade your kit or top up all your bits and pieces to keep them in business.
We all hope for rain and cooler temperatures so we can get started again. Lets hope its not to much longer. But something tells me we are going to have a great winter on the Wye.

A lot cooler today and tomorrow but only temporarily I unserstand.  Susupect a few flying  'C' will be flashing somewhere on the Wye today.
