Looks like yesterdays small rise, which has dropped back several inches, did no one any favours with as yet no reports of any fish caught anywhere on the river.   Rain is forecast for much of the day in Wales but how heavy depends on which weather forecast you listen to.  How can the Met Office give out such conflicting evidence to broadcasters.
Its already raining in the headwaters so we shall just have to wait and see.  After that it looks like a long dry spell after ten days of which some upper beats will be hoping for rain.  Nothing new there then.

Latest.  Once again the upper river and tribs are starting to rise and it looks like it will be rather more than yesterdays moderate lift of a few inches.  Irfon and Ithon will be putting their water in so could be some colour.  Looks doubtful for tomorrow on upper beats .  Not much rain lower down the catchment though.    Usk look bu====ed too.

LATEST//  Jed Grayson reports a 20lb fish from Loxster pool Whitney on Wye this late pm  A fly caught fish.
Two from the Carrots for Tom Lane.  12 and 15lbs . devon minnow and F/C
