Only a slow drop om levels with a top up now and again from bands of showers in many areas.
Will be difficult even on upper beats this weekend though it will obviously clear to some extent. then we might have a dry spell.

Not likely to add anything to the March total today so it looks like 21 for the month.  Exceptional quality on the whole and although the bottom river restricted due to high water upper river has been spot on for some time yet nothing above the Nyth which, given the water is rather strange.     Lowest March total for a good few years and that's not running the river down -its a fact.

I see theTeifi coracle guys have graciously agreed to return all salmon caught in their nets this year.
Terrific. I just wonder what state a fresh from the tide salmon will be in after it's been disentangled from the net in the bottom of the coracle and then put back . Pretty much descaled I suspect and a candidate for eel fodder.  Much wringing of hands from NRW at the present state of stocks.  They have nothing much to offer for renewal. They sure as hell can't restock having closed down all their hatcheries.  That was a wise move they will come to regret.  Purchased a new licence today - sometimes wonder why!!!!!!!  Don't forget yours as a bailiff (who you might ask - a more endangered species than the salmon) might catch you out
