24lb fish from Courtfield yesterday evening to Clive Peglar so the quality of fish remains, sadly the numbers are pretty grim at the moment. Not so bright for today so perhaps better fishing conditions.  Doubt it will deter the canoeists however.   See Glasbury below;just before 10.00am when I suspect most have still to arrive.Car park jam packed.  Parking all along the rod beyond. Nightmare for local people with old peoples bungalows just beyond the car park. At this stage mostly commercial operators making a good living from the river on other peoples backs, contributing absolutely nothing and preventing any meaningful fishing. Mind you it would be worse if there was actually anything to catch.    What a way to manage a salmon river - well done WUF..

First through the gate - and so it begins.  The guy waving in the picture said I had no permission to take any photographs and he would sue me and asked for the picture.  However he declined to come and take it when I offered he should come and try.  Typical of what we have to put up with. God knows what actually happened on the river.  All this without the canoe centre on the other side of the bridge ready to launch and another site at the Hollybush Inn ready to do the same -quite illegally.   Does anyone care. A complete disgrace and abandonment by anyone with authority who could do something about it
