Sparkling opening day on the Wye with 3 fish recorded on the lower river and at least one fish lost plus any number of well mended kelts caught from Upper Bigsweir to Letton Court. Rickly Reno had an opening day to remember at Upper Bigsweir catch two fresh springers of 15lb and 13lb on a metal Devon from the Cockpit. Chris Major also had a sea liced fish from Coedithel of 14lb on a spinner. Middle river reported in perfect condition with water temp at Hereford 48 deg.
