Sign of the times I/m afraid.  Coarse fishing takes precedence on one of Wye's famous beats -and its not the only one.   Don't know who Ray Harris is but he can stuff it as far as I'm concerned.

 

Wye Salmon Fishing Opportunity

 A 2 mile stretch at Foy formally known as Ingestone fishery is being syndicated to salmon anglers.

The beat has excellent access with many pools famous for big salmon. You can drive the full length and there is a nice salmon hut where you can make a drink and have lunch.

It will be offered as a very limited syndicate and run from 3rd March until 15th June. There is no ghillie and members can fish on any or all of the 90 plus days.

 Price is £999 and £40 per day for guests. Syndicate members are allowed one guest per day. There are approximately 40 swims on the whole stretch.
