Still no real rain around although the bottom beats saw a small rise. water is still brown with visibility about a foot. A few dark small fish have been seen and some people are fishing. Well good luck with that.
The season is really over in many respects I suggest and lets hope after all they have been through there is no mad scramble to catch a few pre spawners.
Has anyone else had this correspondence from the EA. Best not comment on it or could be in trouble. Is it a sick joke??? How your licence fee keeps fishing fabulous. Oh dear/!!!!!!

Hello
Geoffrey
We’ve
missed you on the banks recently and would love to see you out there
fishing again. With summer finally here and Covid-19 restrictions
easing, now is the perfect time to dust off the rod and get back out
there.
Don’t
forget you will need a valid fishing rod licence, as your licence may
have expired, so do double check. Starting at just £30 for a 12-month,
2-rod licence it’s easier than ever to renew – just buy your licence
online and away you go.
All
income from fishing licence sales is used to fund work to protect and
improve fish stocks and fisheries. This includes improving habitats for
fish, reinvesting money back to facilities and clubs for anglers,
tackling illegal fishing and working with partners to encourage more
people to give fishing a go.
As
COVID-19 restrictions start to ease, fishing can be a way to safely
reconnect with friends and family you haven’t seen. Spending time near
water has been found to have a positive effect on mental wellbeing,
increasing happiness and enjoyment of life, as well as reducing anxiety
levels.
The
Angling Trust’s COVID-19 hub provides key advice and
guidance to fish safely during this time.
Keep
in touch
We’d
really like to stay in touch with you as well. So while you’re getting
your licence, don’t forget to sign up to receive our newsletter by
clicking the ‘update me’ box. It’s a great way to find out what’s
happening in the world of fishing each month and how your licence fee
keeps fishing fabulous.
