Levels dropping away now especially on the upper river with very clear visibility.   No report from upstream but one at least from the Golden Mile

The new gillie on the Golden Mile, Richard Parkin, had the best of all possible starts yesterday by giving good  advice to Bob Mason regarding the possibility of fish being present (Sunday)Putting on a Black and Yellow Conehead Bob had a fresh 9lb fish from the boat pool to start his season off. Report of other fish about too.

Possibly the first fish from the Severn.  Taken from Shrewsbury Weir
