Well the river is in a right mess this morning and possibly not yet peaked in some areas with over 5 metres of floodwater in places.  On top of that the Black Mountains are snowcapped glistening in the sunlight.

God only knows whats happened to the redds and future generations of salmon.   Can't have helped though somehow some survive.   If WUF wanted a wetland they certainly have one now.  As for soil, phospate sewage pollution etc well that's ok they reckon -it's well diluted.. Sure is.
