 Sorry nothing the last few day and all seems quiet on the Lugg, Lynfi front with probably nothing happening until after Xmas, if then.


Another night of heavy rain has raised levels in all tributaries with again many of the redds no doubt washed away. Difference is that in the past spawning was such that the river could probably afford to loose a few.   Not any longer.  One wonders how many eggs would have been safer in a hatchery environment but there seems liitttle chance of that in the forseable future despite it being allowed in many other parts of the UK.
