The below was written by me some years ago when Chairman of RWGA.  Can't be sure of the date but WUF had only spent £5 million then and catch and release was not on the menu.

What struck me seeing it again  is that despite seeing the situation then just how little has changed in the intervening years despite all the river 'improvements' plus a total lack of action by EA/NRW

Its not just sad, it disgraceful!!!

                                 But it is happening in plain sight.
