Golden Mile managed to buck the trend with a 9lb fish to Roy Cartwright;

Having has difficulty in catching a Wye salmon this strange season Golden Mile syndicate member Tony Davies went to fish an open coarse fishing match on the Severn near Tewkesbury.  Having caught a few bream baiting with double maggot on a size 18 hook he latched into cock salmon which he eventually landed = see below.

Some feat to land that on a size18 hook and match tackle.   Are we using the right methods I wonder -perhaps it will catch on???
