Getting boring now.  No reports of any further catches which seem to have dried up on the lower river too.  Without an improvement in river levels we look set for a pretty barren spell   With grilse already arrived is there really much else to come.?


Ballsgate weir on the Lugg is nearing completion apparently.  A pretty extensive not to say expensive exercise paid for by European funding.   Be interesting to see what effect it has, if any,on any redd counts above it later on.  I'm not holding my breath.  Good stuff by Louis and his team of foundation grafters though.
