News still remains difficult to obtain. Most downriver are still tight lipped regarding the catches off the beats, owners and anglers alike. I can only assume beat owners have told their anglers not to report the catches that are definately taking place and with full connivance of WUF. It's a pretty poor state of affairs really but perhaps in one or two cases the reasons are obvious. No doubt WUF will be keen to add the fish to the seasons total at the end of the day -lets see how they do it.
One person willing to share however is Stan Turner who took a 13lb fish from his beat at Aramstone
this morning..
River temperatures are better now so perhaps a few more fish will be caught, hopefully away from the secretive lower beats.

We complain about lower catches on our river and I know many of you fish the Towy and Teifi
Below is a document I came across recently sent to me by the late Staurt Jarvis which relates in stark detail the huge decline in both these rivers up to 1997 I suspect it has worsened still since then and even these figures were worse compared to post 1968. Beggars belief.
Not bad for a first salmon I guess!!!!!!!
