Some good news from yesterday.  WSA Chairman Stuart Smith has been elected to represent Wye anglers at the Welsh Fisheries forum.   Some angler representation at last and an end to the "I will represent you as I know best" edict we had from WUF and its other attached concubines such as the Ridiculous Wye Conservators -Wufs other funding stream,and a lake of a voice from the once influential Wye Owners Association, sunk into oblivion by Major Darling.
The question still is whether the NRW will be prepared to listen but it least they will get an unbiased
input.
I understand a similar move to oust other unelected representation from the USK  LFG is also ongoing so perhaps there might be a light at the end of the tunnel.  However some people are unlikely
to go quietly out of the limelight which they have cherished for so long.  There may yet be a twist to the tale somewhere along the way!!!

See below;

All,
I can confirm that Stuart Smith (WSA) has been elected by the Wye LFG to represent us and our opinions at the Welsh Fisheries forum [WFF].
I have emailed Peter Gough separately, confirming the vote, and providing copies of all the voting emails for transparency.
Stuart, gained 2/3rds of the votes cast, which I for one find very encouraging that he has such a solid mandate.
Best Wishes all,
David Revill
Chair, Wye LFG.

See below comment from Peter Wright who sent a picture of a pike -which I can't seem to post for some reason, taken while fly fishing for salmon.  Pretty unusual event

Re your blog
"The reverse outcome , Cadora pool  21.5.2017  took a twin hooked salmon fly on a 11 ft single handed switch.
You don,t always get what you want. I can,t remember what fly, sort of blue and silver sea trout pattern as I remember."
