One from the 16th - 14lbs to Gillie Glyn Cawte on fly from Lower Carrots
8lb fresh fish from the Vanstone ,Goodrich yesterday 8lbs on fly.
Recent fish have been mainly 2sw fish and very fresh.
I am reliably informed that several other fish, up to half a dozen perhaps have been caught on the lower beats but not being advertised for some reason. Rather strange.
Reports also that Shad numbers are prolific, possibly the best for a decade according to some on the river.

Seems that anglers in Wales can now travel to LOCAL fisheries. What actually does local mean though. Depending on where you live and where you fishing as it can mean a big difference in distances. Clarity, as usual, is out the window still.

See below a couple of pictures of fish taken on the Wye. Does anyone disagree that these are in fact mullet. Please let me know if you agree or disagree. (geofffranks@icloud.com There is a reason which I will explain tomorrow.
