Conditions excellent.  Looks like more rain in the offing late Tonight and tomorrow which could be considerable according to the ever unreliable met office.

An old picture you may have seen before.

Gardner's shop in Hereford full of Wye springers probably mostly from the Hereford AA waters (700 plus one season). This season entire catch from Hereford to Luggs Mouth so far.
 The good old days or just slaughter?
Perhaps just a crop from an abundant resource- even after anglers catches,, poachers, legal EA estuary netting etc etc the Wye was always knee deep with spawners on the redds at the back end of the season which, by the way, used to end on 31st October...
