E-Newsletter

December 2016

2016 has been an incredibly busy year for us;  and we have achieved several very notable successes - thanks in large part to the tremendous support we have enjoyed from members and stakeholders.
Here are just some of the highlights of the year:

Peitition Update:  It is making steady progress through the parliamentary process. On 30 June S&TCS gave oral evidence to the Petitions Committee. The Petition was subsequently passed by the Scottish Parliament's Petitions Commmittee to the Rural Economy and Connectivity Committee. The latter, at its meeting on 26 October, agreed "to write to the Cabinet Secretary for Rural Economy and Connectivity seeking further information on the issues raised in the petition." We are now awaiting that response.

A final thought: why not give an S&TC membership to a family member or friend?
