And so the fight for Canada's salmon goes on see below.

And then we have this on our own doorstep;

And This;

Default Controversial fish farm gets go-ahead off Skye

A controversial fish farm in a Sea loch off Skye has been approved on appeal by the Scottish Government. Permission has been granted for a salmon and rainbow trout farm in Loch Pooltiel. The plan had attracted 77 objections before it went to the Highland Council planning committee - which unanimously rejected the fish farm proposal.
Kames Fish farming has now won permission to install 12 cages in the sea loch north of Milovaig. Highland Councillors had raised concerns that the fish farm would have a detrimental effect on the environment. Skye district salmon fishery board raised concerns about sea lice, pollution and escapes of caged fish.
Another west coast fish farm that we don't need  and the SG should be ashamed of themselves for riding rough shod over the decisions of local people and local government
Another nail in the coffin in the demise of wild fish stocks!

Hello
When Marine Harvest SLAPPed me with a lawsuit they also named "John and Jane Doe and All Persons Unknown...".

On November 16, 2016 three Dzawada'enuxw chiefs filed a response  to Marine Harvest in BC Supreme Court.
They have said no to salmon farms for 29 years and yet Canada and BC have put 1/3 of the BC salmon farming industry in their territory.

For reasons no one is clear on, Canada and BC are tied to the the Norwegian salmon farming industry at the expense of wild salmon, the coastal economy, whales and the Nations who are standing to protect all in their territory from this industry.

There are now three lawsuits before the courts that explore this unhealthy relationship.  The creature under the carpet is taking shape and size.
Do First Nations have to have salmon farms in their territory and if so, why?

I need your help, please visit my blog link above.
Thank you,
Alexandra Morton
