Some fish from yesterday as more springer's bite the dust;

Spreadeagle  9lb Rectory 18 and 11(local angler had one of these again)
19.5lbs from garnons  16lbs from tyrcelyn
32" fish from Glanwye, Upper Bigsweir 14lbs and Wyesham 13lb.
5lbs from Gromaine.
Also three fish reported from Hereford  10lbs and two grilse one of which was fin clipped so that's heartening -well to some of us.
20lb from Whitney
carrots  15 and 10

Dave Palmer also had a 6.5lb fish from Sheepewash.  see picture below.



Today -there's more;

5 from the Nyth. 21 -20-15-8 and 5
4lb from Abernant
12lb from Lyn Em. Lower Glanwye.
16lbs From Caemawr.

NL Minister Rejects ASF's Appeal Regarding Placentia Bay Aquaculture Project

ASF had appealed to Environment and Climate Change Minister Perry Trimper to have a full environmental assessment of the massive aquaculture project planned for Placentia Bay, given its size, use of European strain salmon and other matters. The minister turned down the appeal.

Cheticamp River Salmon Making a Comeback Thanks to "Rock Bars"

A major river-narrowing project undertaken by the Cheticamp River Salmon Association, an ASF affiliate, along with Parks Canada, has been successfully completed, improving access to headwaters for wild Atlantic salmon in this important western Cape Breton river.
