River continues its Yo Yo effect and is on the way down again on the upper beats.  No doubt when it settles more fish will be towards the top end of the river for further exploitation..

Someone questioned why they should not fish very late in the season on the Irfon or very upper wye or indeed the Ihon.  " we don't get any fish until then, they say".
Surely that tells you something!. These areas then are not basically a salmon'fishing' river, rather a spawning tributary or area which they choose not to access until they are fairly ripe for spawning. If you think its ethical then go ahead.it's your conscience.
