Much heralded heavy rain not arrived locally so far so far so conditions on the river should remain much the same today.   Make the most of it as the very upper catchment around  llangurig is receiving a decent dose of rain and rising  at the moment.   Fishable in all areas -but for how long no more than a day i suspect for the upper and middle river

Looks like the Autumn bash of near spawners is underway -only to be halted for a couple of days by a reasonable spate now on its way to the middle reaches. personally I hope it rains until 17th October sure to save a few fish no doubt.

The ,local angler' however is not bothered with three fish today from Llanstephan
4 from tthe Rectory to Mark Lloyd and Gary Turner with two each  7 to 11lbs.
9lbs to Peter Fraser from the Nyth.
One from Glanwye 10lbs to Nick Wills
Wyesham 18lbs to David Curtis

7lb fish from the Golden Mile today to Dave Palmer seen playing the fish.. A successful landing but fish escaped just after unhooking.  Also a pic of the 'free swimmers,' that some something of a fad lately.

Ricky Reno's two fish - see below.  the Tartan Warriors are stirring it seems.
