River still slowly falling and still with a considerable peaty stain in many areas.
Better day for some areas yesterday and should continue hopefully.

Report from last Wednesday from Nick Hope who took four fish in a day at Cearwnon above Builth. Wells, fish between 8 and 14lbs two on fly two on a Rapala.  One fairly fresh, three coloured, making five for the beat this season.

Today
Rectory 4lb grilse for Wayne Mathews. fly.
11lb fish for James Manning. Gromain on fly.
Wyeaston Crown 8 and 6lbs to Rodney welsh on a F/C
4 grilse from Upper Bigswier today 3 1./2 to 6 3/4lbs  Single hook F/C

Seems that earlier in the month there was a considerable pollution episode on the river Lynfi which flows into the Wye just above Glasbury bridge.  It was reported that probably up to 2,000 fish were killed including trout up to 1 1/2lbs.  EA are investigating but so far with no result as to who or what polluted the river.

Better results from North american too it seems.    See below.
