YESTERDAY.     With all the good running water it had to happen sooner or later with the first fish off the upper river above Builth Wells.  Fishing the Boat Pool on the Newbridge Club water local angler Jim Fisher took a fresh fish of 32" length on a flying C.

Upper river continues to improve. Still a little colour but decent running water still so hopefully more fish for the upper beats.

I am writing to let you know a Canadian Liberal Member of Parliament has given us the opportunity to tell Canada to "Legislate the removal of caged salmon from our oceans" in a landmark petition. It will be tabled on July 27th.  The government has 45 days to respond.

I can't see us ever getting a better opportunity to tell Canada there is a much better way to treat salmon and the world this fish feeds.
