Conditions reasonable and river falling slowly after heavy showers yesterday still some colour in places especially on lower beats.  Flying C water I suspect for most.

Nice to see a good number of springers already caught on the fly.
I tend to copy a lot of patterns for people and now and then one strikes your eye as having real possibilities  (though in fact they all do to some extent and most flies will catch fish.  As someone said yesterday,  " Paint a cigarette butt orange, put it within 3 feet of a fresh springer and he will have it!!

However the below fly looks very attractive -bit like a transvestite who goes over the top, but on the assumption it looks good to us- errr not that I,m into transvestites you understand,  perhaps the salmon will too.

Dressing
Flourescent pink floss ribbed with silver tinsel, mix of red, yellow, orange bucktail with a section of blue bucktail on top.  Jungle cock cheeks.  Must admit I added the two strands of silver twinkle on top of that.
It hails from Devon and was tied on small tubes, Will it work -add water and stand back -the fish can't fail to see it that's for sure.
