Still the rain and flooding continues. Talking to a guy up north today it seem that they are all concerned up there at the widespread damage that's been caused across much of Scotland, The Tay Dee and Tweed in particular.  Massive gravel movements, bank side damage. pools changed forever  and some no longer there, lost fishing huts, bridges etc.

I told him down here we are told  that there was evidence that there was no such thing as redd washout and the fish know exactly where to spawn safely.   He nearly chocked on his dram then suggested the Tweed and Dee will now regret having nothing safe in their hatcheries just like we having nothing in our SNR ponds.   Massive shot in the foot to all concerned in Rivers Trusts and our own NRW/EA with nothing to supplement the undoubted massive losses.   Common sense missing again really!!
