Yesterdays rain only had a minimal effect with some water from the upper river and the Irfon.
Barely enough to make any difference as it spreads further downstream.
Nothing reported today even from Bigswier who have picked up the odd fish this week. They are now on 194 though I have no further details.

pools are open again on the Miramichi, thanks to some rain, and cooler
night temperatures. Plus increased grilse returns in Newfoundland.

preparing to start retrieving the acoustic receivers to download information
on the movements of smolts. It is all part of having the rivers and Gulf of
St. Lawrence "wired" in this major ASF research effort.
