The Wye's salmon and sea trout stocks are considered to still be 'at risk' until 2018 and uncertain after that. Most other rivers in Wales are too.

Nothing reported today so far. I note a 95lb catfish has been caught by an angler on the lower Severn and a 56pounder from one of the local Herefordshire stillwaters. That's all we need in our river next, either by a flooding accident or by some idiot deliberately putting some in - unless of course a barbel is their favourite dish.
