Looks like the weathermen have got it wrong again with very little rain now on the horizon -mind you we did have a patch of drizzle.!!  Looks like the river will continue to drop away unless the much heralded compensation  releases from the Elan valley hold levels up a little.  Big question some people have raised just how good is the water that is being released.  Director suggests we now get algae blooms from the Ithon tributary downstream due to poultry sheds on this tributary. Well never seen one in all the time I have been on the river and don't know anyone else who has either. But what do we know!!   Question is if they are causing the suggested phosphate pollution why are not being prosecuted.
