Another fine sunny day with the river really dropping back on the upstream beats now.  Despite the fish at Builth wells its becoming increasingly obvious that there are very few fish in these upstream bearts.  Odd one may still get caught but frankly you will be an optimist to fish the upper river until we get some more water which, though we may get a splash over the weekend. looks unlikely.

Seems as though the odd fish is still entering the lower river but even here anglers are struggling.   Could still be another flush of decent springers and lets hope the 2SW fish put in a stronger appearance than recent years or we will again be staring down the barrels.
