Nothing new in conditions or catches though may be some rain over the weekend. prefer it waited till after the end of the season personally.
Several articles |I saw this week just about sums things up in my opinion.
A excellent one by John Gibb on page 45 of Trout and Salmon re rivers now awash with wet behind the ears scientists and theorists with clipboards, box ticking their way to solving -well nothing really. With the practical guys not getting a look in.
Another article in the same magazine on the insane irrigation policy of the EA which lets face it is only too alive and well in the Wye valley.
And a centre spread in Angling Times showing Martin Bowler -again - this time featuring a great character and coarse fishing writer Chris Yates, sat on a salmon croy fishing for barbel.
This together with the already redundant NRW about to pull the plus tomorrow on all Welsh hatcheries it just about sums up the current state of our game fishing in 2014.
Watch the below clip and weep. Vosso salmon have all but been destroyed by the sea lice from salmon farms, Salmon farms are a plague around the world. But with enough money, spin and sheer flying in the face of the facts they can produce this;
