No fish reported so far today.
See below the latest from the Angling Trust. Not much this time for the Game Fsiherman.
Makes you wonder why the Salmon and Trout association cannot be as pro active - though to be fair they do have a glossy 'news' magazine and a 'glittering annual diner at Fishmongers Hall.

Angling Trust
& Fish Legal on the One Show
Fish Legal's
challenge to the British Canoe Union was featured on the One Show last
week, which is available on the BBC iPlayer until Friday at 12.55. The clip
starts at 8 minutes 30 seconds into the programme. As usual with the media,
3 hours of filming were edited into a short clip and some of our comments
were reported out of context. It is important to stress that any access to
rivers by canoes must be agreed on a river-by-river basis by the landowners
and angling clubs concerned, to reflect the local fishing seasons and to
protect fish stocks.

Possible
Progress on Bass and Drift Nets
The Angling
Trust wrote to Liz Truss MP, the new Secretary of State for the
Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, to urge her to recognise the economic
importance of sea and freshwater angling and to give anglers an equal say
in decisions about the management of stocks. In her reply she indicates
that the government wishes to see EU action on bass stocks, following
pressure from the Angling Trust and BASS, and that they intend to close all
drift net fishing in the next 7 years. However, we intend to keep up the
pressure for urgent UK action now rather than waiting for Europe. More
details on how you can help our bass campaign will be available in the next

Fish Legal v
Information Commissioner and Southern Water/United Utilities/Yorkshire
Water
Fish Legal
moves closer to its 4-day trial in November against the Water Companies for
rejecting public rights of access to environmental information they hold.
Last week saw Fish Legal submit its written argument detailing why the
Water and Sewerage Industry is subject to a duty to disclose environmental
information to the public. Winning a public right of access would be an
important achievement for greater transparency. It would secure a right of
access for anglers to know more about the environmental damage caused by
these businesses to fisheries, so they can be better held to account.
