Looks like much of the same for the next couple of weeks so prospects are not good at present in all honesty.
No reports from yesterday.
12lb hen fish from Glanwye for Mike Howell.
Report of two fish last Friday from the Cut at Letton 18 and 14 estimated. Caught on a bright green flying C by Dominic Mannion.
I know this is the other side of the world but it does no harm to help fellow anglers wherever they are does it.
Only takes a minute.of your time so why not.!
This is a cry for help from my pals in NZ.... to reject a commercial application to allow them to regularly allow them to discharge seriously horrible meat factory effluent into one of the loveliest rivers in NZ the Waimakariri... I just signed the petition "Environment Canterbury (e-can) New Zealand: Reject consent-to-discharge application CRC143740 from Silver Fern Farms" on Change.org.
It's hugely important to stop this so, as a fellow angler, will you please sign it too?

Voluntary
Bailiff Service Vacancies in Sussex
The
Voluntary Bailiff Service (VBS) currently remains an operational pilot project
in South East England. During Phase 1, Volunteer Bailiffs contribute heavily to
the intelligence-led enforcement system, acting as 'eyes and ears', patrolling
with fellow Volunteer Bailiffs and on occasions with Environment Agency
Fisheries Enforcement Officers and the police. Although the VBS is currently
closed for recruiting for 2014, vacancies exist within the South Downs (Sussex)
area.

Win
Prizes in the Cumbria Freshwater Invasive Non-Native Species Quiz
We
love spending time on the water so protecting it is something we all need to
take responsibility for because freshwater invasive non-native species (INNS)
are able to ‘hitchhike’ on angling equipment, footwear and clothing. When we
move to a new water body, a species or disease may be transferred and become
established, often having devastating effects. Biosecurity measures are simple
and inexpensive - are you up to scratch on your biosecurity knowledge? Take the
Cumbria Freshwater Invasive Non-Native Species quiz to find out more and win
great prizes!

Beware
Rod-Licence Rip-Offs
Please
be careful when using Google to search for links to buy your rod licence. We
just came across a new website advert which is trying to pass itself off as the
Environment Agency by changing the spelling of its website name to be similar to
that of the EA's. These sites keep appearing in different guises and we lodge
complaints as soon as we find them. The only sites you need to use for direct
links to buy a rod licence are www.gov.uk/buy-a-uk-fishing-rod-licence
and www.postoffice.co.uk/rod-fishing-licence
or you can access the correct link through our own www.fishinginfo.co.uk

Cropston
Reservoir Judicial Review - Permission Granted
In
order to take Judicial Review proceedings it is necessary to obtain the Court's
permission first, this is to prevent unworthy cases going forwards and causing
public expense. Our member's Judicial Review against the Environment Agency has
now been granted permission to proceed to full trial on all grounds of
challenge. If successful we hope to secure better pollution control by the
Environment Agency when dealing with nutrient enrichment, in particular when
caused by the discharge into water bodies of substances (such as phosphates)
that are likely to cause eutrophication.
