Although good conditions remain and are improving still on lower beats catches remain very depressed.

Surprise report, considering the conditions, of a fish from Bigswier to Ed Brown on a fly so hopefully things will pick up down there from now on.  They certainly need to.

LATEST.  Better news from yesterday as Ingeston recorded four fish. Regulars Gwyn Slade and Mike Pritchard were both among the fish again. Mike having fish of 10 and 14lbs and Gwyn 10/12lbs. Several of this fish had been in the river some time. River still carrying some colour too.
Today 12 years old Theo Mathews had a grilseof about 5lbs spinning,  also at Ingeston. His first salmon so congratulations to him and hope its the first of many.

14lb fish also reported from Wyesham.
One of our members fishing today at the Red Lion caught a fin clipped salmon smolt on a small salmon fly.
Two fish reported from Letton by Ian Spalding. Both about 10lbs.

Some really sad news received today of the death last Wednesday of Charlie Ashford at the age of 94. Charlie will be known to most Hereford anglers, He was a real character and staunch supporter of both the Hereford and District Anglers Association, The Hereford Fly fishing Club and was also a member of RWGA.   He had not been in robust health for some years but until a couple of years ago he always managed to attend our Annual dinner.   He was good friend and I and many other will miss him, not least for the robust support and enthusiasm he always gave.
Funeral is next Wednesday at the Crematorium at 12.30pm

Alexandra Morton.
Hello
Today is the last day in court.  My Ecojustice lawyers have done a very good job, the judge is sharp as can be, but as expected large corporations also hire effective lawyers.
Yesterday was pretty shocking as Marine Harvest attempted to rewrite the science on piscine reovirus.  I can only hope and I expect the judge well-understands the difference between an "opinion" and the weight of peer - reviewed scientific papers all in agreement that come to a very different conclusion.
See my blog on this click here.

The question of how I am funded has been raised, with the insinuation I have a mystery backer with deep pockets who I am hiding.  In fact, the funds for the public outreach comes from hundreds of people over the years.  There are never enough funds to meet this industry on its playing field - the world of advertising and so they continue to dominate.
If you want to help in this way you can click here.

The decision is expected in about 4 months, but that is only a guess it could come sooner or much later.
Off to the last day in this proceeding...
