Seem's Wyesham reported their first salmon last Friday. A fish of 18lbs. kelts still being caught in some areas, particularly downstream beats and mostly they are in good condition. Conditions improving all the time for middle and lower river. Some rain forecast later today but seems unlikely to be significant.
Latest. Report of a 30lb fish from Caradoc by Martin Lydon. Don't know if this was an estimated weight or not or how caught.
Also another fish at Ingeston today to 70yrs old Gordon Nuttall - a super fish of 22 1/2lbs.taken spinning -his second of the season.
Last Friday's catch of three fish from this beat was in fact four, with another fish taken late in the day by Glyn Slade. this time a 12 pounder.
