Just a little colour after yesterdays dampening and less than an inch of a rise in most areas.
Becoming apparent that we are really short of fish at the moment and the best hope is that new fish will eneter the river soon.  Upper beats will basically keep what they have and things should pick up on the lower river soon surely.
Latest.
Well things have picked up.  Eamonn Delany reports two fish from Backey on a flying C  15lbs and 30lbs plus and lost anopther.

Having seen no fish since Monday Ingeston picked up three fish yesterday late in the day.
A sea liced 13 lber to Sol Roberts and then two fish to Mike Pritchard.

One a fish of 15lbs the second a superb springer of 35lbs also sea liced 47 1/2 long.  A superbly condition fish, the best seen for many a year and the fish of a lifetime. Congratulations to Mike.

Hope this evenenings really heavy rain, hail and snow showers don't affect things too much but may introduce more colour.
